Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to my lesson or class?

You should wear comfortable athletic clothing or dance practice wear that allows you to move freely. Try to avoid clothing so baggy that we cannot see your movement - think joggers and a t-shirt or yoga leggings and fitted top.

What type of shoes do I need to wear?

I recommend you wear shoes that have a smooth leather or suede bottom which allows you to comfortably turn on a hardwood surface. Rubber soled shoes like tennis shoes tend to put strain on the knees. If it is your first lesson you can wear just socks or athletic shoes, and once we are dancing together I can guide you toward the most appropriate footwear for your dance goals.

3

Do I need any dance experience to take a lesson?

No, you do not need any dance experience to take a class or lesson! Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, I welcome all skill levels and can tailor your lessons to your individual needs. My goal is to provide a fun and supportive environment where you can learn, grow, and enjoy the many benefits of dance.
